What is the soul of a man? Is it the same as his spirit? The soul and spirit are two different things. When you received Jesus into your heart and became a born again believer, your spirit was instantly transformed into the image of God. The Holy Spirit came in to dwell on the inside of you and you received the nature of God. Your soul was not transformed, it did not change. Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. Your mind thinks, your will chooses and your emotions act. Our soul was not saved, we have to renew our mind and transform our soul through the word of God. Rom 12:1,2- I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God , which is your reasonable service.
